Home Plan and Develop Approval Process

APPLICATIONS

Thinking of building or developing?

You need to establish what you may build on your land, and if you may need Council approval to do so.

A Development Application (DA),followed by a Construction Certificate (CC) if necessary, is required for developments within Moree Plains Shire that are defined under the  Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 as:

·         The use of land;
·         The subdivision of land;
·         The erection of a building;
·         The carrying out of work;
·         The demolition; or
·         Any other matter controlled by an environmental planning instrument.

Some minor developments do not require consent and are known as Exempt Development. Other types of developments are Complying Developments which require a Complying Development Certificate prior to commencing the use.
