Double demerit points - Labour Day Long Weekend
Drivers are reminded that double demerits will occur over the Labour Day Long Weekend commencing 12am, Friday 4 October 2024 to 11.59pm, Monday 7 October 2024.
Drivers will incur a fine and double demerit points if they are:
- Caught speeding
Using a mobile phone while driving
Not wearing a seatbelt
Caught driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Not wearing a helmet on a motorcycle
Disobeying road rules and sign
The Demerit Points Scheme helps make roads safer by encouraging motorists to drive responsibly.
