Have you got a brilliant idea for an exciting new event for the Moree Plains? Council would love to hear about it!
Building on the incredible success of last year’s inaugural Event Partnership Program which saw the delivery of events such as Run the Plains and the Young Aggies Future Focus Forum, Council is pleased to announce that the 2025 Program is open for applications, with a total of $20,000 available.
Submit your application before the deadline on Sunday 27 April 2025 at 11:59pm.
Road Closures
OPEN - MR507 Carrigan Road is open from Mungindi to Goondiwindi
OPEN - MR232 Boonangar Road is now open with caution
CLOSED - The Carnarvon Highway between Garah and Mungindi remains closed.
CLOSED - Due to the wet weather, ALL unsealed roads in the Moree Plains Shire remain closed (local residents have access - vehicles under 4.5 Tonnes).
