💧 MUNGINDI - BOIL WATER ALERT - HAS BEEN LIFTED 💧

Council would like to advise the Mungindi Community as of 3.20pm Wednesday 28 April, the boil water alert that was placed on the water supply sourced from the Barwon River has now been lifted. This decision was made following ongoing consultation with NSW Health and the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment.

The alert was initially put in place due to quality issues arising from the recent flooding and extended due to localised issues with the Mungindi Water Treatment Plant. The resulting issues have now been rectified and water testing over the past five days have indicated the treated water once again meets the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.

Council would like to thank the Mungindi Community for their understanding and patience during this time. :)
