Entering into Queensland, as of 1am Monday 13 December 2021

Queensland Government has announced that from 1 am on Monday, 13 December, fully vaccinated people can cross into the state under a range of conditions.

The conditions are as follows:

✅ Travellers from interstate hotspots can arrive by road or air
✅ They must be fully vaccinated
✅ They must provide a negative COVID test in the previous 72 hours
✅ No quarantine is required for the fully vaccinated
✅ Travellers no longer have to wait two weeks to be considered fully vaccinated; one week is enough
✅ All travellers from hotspots must get a test on Day Five after their arrival
✅ Anyone who is fully vaccinated in home quarantine on 13 December as a result of domestic travel will be able to leave home quarantine if they have a negative PCR test in the 72 hours prior to 13 December 2021.

Council has been advised by the Queensland Government that, at this stage, residents wishing to cross into Queensland, after 1 am Monday 13 December, will need to demonstrate evidence of a negative result from a PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test and not a RAT (Rapid Antigen Test) for COVID-19.
Residents will need to obtain an entry pass before being able to cross into Queensland. The pass is expected to become available over the weekend and will be accessible at https://www.qld.gov.au/border-pass
