Make Some Noise for the Jellicoe Park Amphitheatre 🎭
Are you passionate about having an open-air venue in Moree? Envision the river views as the backdrop for family fun entertainment such as performances, concerts and community events?
If so, then come and speak to us about the proposed Jellicoe Park amphitheatre this Sunday at the Moree Markets from 9 am to 12 pm.
Located on the bank of the Mehi River at McElhone Street’s western end, just behind the Showgrounds, the amphitheatre will be a community venue space that will be used for a multitude of purposes. Thanks to a grant from the NSW Government’s Public Spaces Legacy Program, allowing us to increase infrastructure along the Mehi River corridor, Council is asking for public comment on the preliminary design for a Jellicoe Park amphitheatre.
The amphitheatre’s suggested location will be marked out on-site to allow a better visualisation of the design. Council staff will be at the proposed Jellicoe Park amphitheatre site, north of the Markets down near the Mehi Weir, from 9 am to 12 pm on Sunday 3 July to answer questions and address comments in relation to the proposal. Council is inviting community members to come and have a look while attending the Jellicoe Park Markets. Residents can also drive to the site from McElhone Street, west of the Showground’s entrance.
Cannot make it to the markets but would like to share your comments?
