CARNARVON HIGHWAY CLOSED

Access on the Carnarvon Highway at the Byra causeway had only accessible to 4WD and trucks, with the causeway reading at 0.2m this morning and rising, Council has made the decision to close the Carnarvon Highway for 24-48 hours depending on additional rainfall and the conditions of the road.

 

Alternative access can be made via

 

✅ MR232 Boonangar Road (Boomi to Garah) with caution. 

(Council have undertaken temporary repairs to washouts)

Or

✅ via Boggabilla and down Carrigan Road
