Storm on Good Friday

Residents who experienced tree/branch breakage or general tree mess and debris after the storm on Good Friday, are asked to not place their tree wastage/storm wastage out on the kerb.

Council unfortunately will not be cleaning up the storm damage or private waste placed out on the kerbside.

There is no charge to bring green waste to the Moree Waste Management Facility or village landfills up to 250kg.

Abandoned green waste is illegal and can cause an array of environmental issues including a breeding site for vermin, mosquitoes and ants; water pollution and spread of noxious plants.

As part of Council’s wheelie bin waste service, households are provided a garden waste organics (green-lidded) bin. Residents should use this service where possible for disposing of their green waste.
