Spreading Christmas Cheers across the Moree Plains

Council agreed at the Ordinary Council Meeting, Thursday 16 November, to allocate resources and support up to $18,000 for various Christmas initiatives that aim to bring the community together and spread the festive spirit in the Moree Plains.

This one-off initiative has been supported by the Tourism and Economic Development Fund (TED) and additional funding.

Christmas on the Plains

Council is working with community groups to help support their Christmas celebrations and sprinkle some Christmas cheer into our towns and villages.

Some of our communities already had Christmas events planned. Councils’ donation will go to supporting events occurring.
