Kelvin and Elissa General Manager Kelvin Tytherleigh caught up with Elissa Veitch from Tamworth’s Ronald McDonald House to discuss the impact of the charity’s services. Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) provide a supportive, comforting environment for families whose children are undergoing treatment at Tamworth Hospital. This ‘home-away-from-home’ allows families to stay close to their children during challenging times, easing the burden of travel and accommodation.

In 2023 alone, RMHC Tamworth extended this vital support to a substantial number of families. A total of 355 families from the 2400 postcode area and 89 families from the Moree Plains Shire stayed at the Tamworth house. These numbers highlight RMHC’s continued commitment to helping families when they need it most.
