Dolly Parton Imagination Program

Council is proud to announce the ongoing success of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program across the Moree Plains.

Since 2022, Moree Plains Shire Council has worked in partnership with United Way Australia (UWA) and the NSW Government to bring the Imagination Library to our local community. UWA has enrolled more than 17,000 children across NSW in the program, including many from our region.

Each month, children aged 0–5 receive a free, high-quality book delivered directly to their door, helping to spark a lifelong love of reading and build vital early literacy skills.

As we approach the final year of the government-funded program, new enrolments will close on 31 August 2025. Children already enrolled will continue to receive books until June 2026.

We hope your family has enjoyed taking part in this wonderful initiative.  We also encourage families to visit the Moree Community Library to continue exploring books, activities, and services for all ages.
