The Countdown Is On - Run The Plains – Temporary Road Closure

To support the rapidly growing popularity of the Run the Plains event, Council is providing in-kind support through sponsoring the fees associated with traffic control and road closures for the two-day family friendly fitness event.
Council will temporarily close the following roads:

Friday 26 September

 Balo Street from Gwydir Street to Albert Street - 5pm to 9pm 

Saturday 27 September 2025

 Albert Street between Frome Street and the western side of the Moree Services Club, Bank Street and Mary Brand Park Road 7am to 12pm

Interested in participating in Run the Plains?

People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate in these wellbeing events, through a walk, jog or sprint.

Kamilaroi K - Kiddos Dash - Community K (Social Dash)

Saturday 27 September 2025 - Visitor Information Centre

Triple 36.1Km - Half Marathon - 10km - 5km - 3km
