The Special Activation Precinct (SAP) Community Participation Plan
The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) has prepared a draft Community Participation Plan (CPP) which outlines the mandatory community engagement requirements on planning matters, including consultation timeframes and community participation objectives.
This CPP applies to:
- Land within Moree, Parkes, Wagga Wagga and Snowy Mountains Special Activation Precincts under Chapter 3 of the State Environmental Planning Policy (Precincts—Regional) 2021 (Precincts-Regional SEPP).
- Planning functions undertaken by the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces and the Planning Secretary under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act)
Public exhibition for the CPP will be available until 1 May 2024 and will provide an opportunity for the public to view and provide formal feedback on the plan.
