2025 Australia Day awards

It is time to recognise excellence and shine a spotlight on those remarkable individuals and community groups with nominations for the Australia Day Awards now open.

Residents can submit nominations for the local categories of
-  Citizen of the Year (over 25 years)
-  Young Citizen of the Year (aged 16-25 years)
-  Community Event of the Year
-  Community/Volunteer Group of the Year
-  Sports Person of the Year
-  Young Sports Person of the Year
-  Volunteer of the Year

The 2025 Australia Day Award nominations are open until 5pm, Friday 10 January 2025.

Complete online or for a hardcopy head into Council’s Customer Service, Level 2, 30 Heber Street, Moree or from the Moree Community Library.
